Project SMEQA: The second study visit to Split
GeneralWithin the Erasmus+ project ,,Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina’’ (SMEQA), Split was the host of the second study visit with a focus on topics of internal quality assurance in Higher Education, from 14 to 16 April 2025.
A multi-dimensional model of internal quality assurance (IQA), which encloses standards in the fields of management, science, cooperation with economic subjects, studying, social responsibility and public communications, was presented during this three-day event held in the premises of the University Library, organized by the University of Split. A particular emphasis was on supporting the young researchers, PhD candidates and scientific mobility.
In the course of workshops, the participants considered the possibility of applying the IQA models in partner Higher Education Institutions through tools of self-assessment and exchange of experiences. During the closing day, there were sessions of the Consortium Board and Quality Board, with evaluation of the results thus far and presentation of the plans for the coming period.
On behalf of the University of Banja Luka, this study visit was attended by the Vice-Rector for Teaching Process, Students’ Issues and Quality, Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD; Prof. Dragan Gligorić, PhD; Prof. Goran Janjić, PhD; and Prof. Mirjana Žabić, PhD.
This study visit contributed to strengthening the inter-university cooperation and affirmation of an inclusive approach to quality assurance in Higher Education.
