Professors of the Faculty of Philosophy at a Conference in Russia
GeneralThe Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Srđan Dušanić, PhD, along with Prof. Goran Latinović, PhD, and Assist. Prof. Oleg Soldat, PhD, participated in the international conference “The Second World War: History and Historical Memory in Russia and the World,” held in Tula on 27 and 28 March 2025.
Professor Dušanić presented on the topic “The History of the Second World War in the Cultural and Educational Space of the Republic of Srpska,” Professor Latinović on “Serbian Memory of the Second World War During the Creation of the Republic of Srpska (1992–1995),” and Assistant Professor Soldat on “The Jasenovac Death Camp (1941–1945)”.
The conference was organised by the Tula State Pedagogical University named after L. N. Tolstoy, the Russian Military Historical Society, the Tula Region Administration, the Russian Historical Society, and the Museum of Weapons. The participation of professors from the Faculty of Philosophy was facilitated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The delegation also included Prof. Draga Mastilović, PhD, from the University of East Sarajevo and Prof. Miloš Ković, PhD, from the University of Belgrade.
The participants were cordially received by the Rector of Tula State Pedagogical University named after L. N. Tolstoy, Prof. Konstantin Andreevich Podrezov, PhD. The participants of the friendly meeting discussed possibilities for future cooperation and opportunities offered by existing agreements between these higher education institutions
