Russian Students Visit the UNIBL Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

As part of their study visit to the University of Banja Luka, on 28 February 2025, students from the Faculty of International Relations and World Politics of the "N. A. Dobrolyubov" Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL PMF).

During a meeting with professors and students of geography and spatial planning, information was exchanged regarding curricula, common academic content, and potential collaboration between the two scientific institutions.

The Russian students demonstrated a profound knowledge of the region's history and culture, expressing particular interest in their country’s cultural heritage in the Republic of Srpska. On this occasion, they also watched a documentary produced by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics on Russian emigration to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

The second day of their visit was dedicated to a tour of Banja Luka and a visit to the Museum of the Republic of Srpska, where the students from Russia attentively explored the exhibits. Special focus was placed on the period of the Second World War and the suffering in the Jasenovac concentration camp.

This study visit has been recognised as a step forward in strengthening cooperation between the two academic communities, offering new opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
