Educational Workshop on Pear Cultivation and Pruning

On 25 February 2025, at the Student Cultural Centre of the University of Banja Luka, the Institute for Horticulture of the Faculty of Agriculture organised an educational workshop on pear cultivation and pruning, called "REZ 2025".

The workshop focused on the cultivation and pruning of pears, a very important species for fruit growing, as well as the numerous challenges faced by producers.

This year's programme included both theoretical and practical aspects, with more than 130 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Macedonia. They included farmers, scientists, researchers, advisors, representatives of companies in the fruit-growing sector, and students.

The event was organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Belgrade, the Fruit Research Institute in Čačak, and the University of Michigan.
