Call for participation at training on archival research on labour and migration
Science and developmentGeneralAs part of the activities of the project RETLAMI-SEE at the University of Banja Luka, the project consortium invites interested researchers to participate in an online training on “Digging through the Scraps: An Introduction to Archival Research on Labour and Migration in Southeast Europe” aimed at preparing early career scholars for archival research on labour and migration in Southeastern Europe.
Led by Goran Musić and Rory Archer (RECET, University of Vienna), this 90-minute training is offered to researchers from the humanities and social sciences at doctoral and postdoctoral level who wish to familiarise themselves with research in historical archives.
The online event on Thursday 20th February at 13:00, held in English and based on the researchers’ practical experience in the field, examines introductory principles of archival research including planning visits, accessing finding aids, and locating and then analysing sources pertaining to labour and migration from and in Southeast Europe.
