The third generation of Sociology students successfully completed students' practice

The students of study program Applied Sociology at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, Dragana Tomić and Jovana Milovanović, successfully completed their practice on 17 January 2025 in the office of the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL).  

This is already the third generation of students who performed their practice in the Rectorate. From the start of the practice, 10 October 2024, they had a chance to get valuable practical knowledge in different segments of managing human resources. They worked on tasks such as creating strategies and planning human resources, recruiting and personnel selection, staff training, and stimulating motivation at work.  

They also got acquainted with the laws and bylaws regulating the area of education and employment. Special attention was dedicated to the procedure of issuing vacancies, promotion to professorship and assistant status, as well as drafting contracts with candidates who received their new academic titles or got promoted in their careers.  

They were getting new knowledge not only in the said Office for Human and Material Resources, but also in the office of the Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation, Secretariat of the University, as well as during visits to the University Computer Centre and the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.  

Thanks to this experience, Dragana Tomić and Jovana Milovanović not only enriched their knowledge, but also got a chance to practically prepare for professional challenges in the area of human resource management.
