Assist. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, at the Symposium of Research Organizations

The Director of the Confucius Institute and Head of the Sinology Department at the University of Banja Luka, Assist. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, is participating in the 10th High-level Symposium of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries, held in Beijing.

The symposium, organised by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, is taking place from 23 to 30 November 2024. Assist. Prof. Ljliljana Stević, PhD, moderated the panel “CEECs amid Changes in European Geopolitics and Economics,” which featured nine professors from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, and the People's Republic of China.

The symposium included several panels dedicated to the cooperation between the People's Republic of China and Central and Eastern European countries. During the second panel, Assist. Prof. Stević, PhD, presented her paper entitled “Chinese efforts to promote culture and global engagement rooted in millenium of Chinese thought.”

The symposium was attended by representatives of the academic community from more than ten countries participating in the China-CEEC format.
