Erasmus Mundus joint master program SPOT

Within Erasmus+ invitation for application to projects in 2024, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka was approved to participate in Erasmus Mundus joint master program (EMJM) in the field of psychology, titled „Social Psychology of Transformation: Understanding and Mastering Social Change” (SPOT).

The coordinator of the project – that will last from 1 October 2024 to 31 October 2030 – is the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU), and together with University of Banja Luka, the University of Tallin, University of Padova, University Institute of Lisbon, University of Nis and University of Sarajevo also participate in the project.

The Project Consortium meeting was held from 30 September to 4 October 2024 in Berlin. During the meeting they discussed the manner of managing the Consortium, financial issues, branding, student admission issues, content of study program, summer school and students` practice, quality insurance and other upcoming project activities. In this meeting, the University of Banja Luka was represented by prof. Sinisa Lakic, PhD – coordinator, Milana Damjenic, MA and M.Sc. Djordje Kenjalo.

SPOT program trains the new generation of qualified psychologists-practitioners and researchers-with wide knowledge and skills in relevant fields within fully integrated two-year study program of 120 ECTS in total. Based on its priorities – „Transformative leadership“, „Conflict and cooperation“ and „Living environment and social sustainability“, the new European master program prepares future experts for actual transformative processes in field of work, society and environment from psychological,
interdisciplinary and transcultural perspective.

The new Master program contributes to goals of enabling European education without borders, promoting European values and further internationalization and modernization of all involved high education institutions. The future graduates will acquire important skills in understanding these challenges and their mutual relations, as well as ability to master the social transformations as future leaders.

SPOT is the first project of this kind that was approved for University of Banja Luka.
