Working meeting of the Across Alliance Executive Board

The Vice-Rector for international and inter-university cooperation of the University of Banja Luka (UNIBL), prof. Kristina Pantelic Babic, PhD, participated in a meeting of the Across alliance Executive Board held from 22 to 24 September 2024 at the University of Girona.

The meeting was chaired by the team from University of Technology from Chemnitz and attended by representatives and members of Executive Boards of universities – members of the Alliance. Most of the meeting was dedicated to creating a consortium contract, as one of significant obligations in the preparation phase for necessary documentation, upon the requirement of the European Commission. Apart from preparing the said contract, there were debates about the activities regarding preparations and official commencement of work of the Across Alliance, scheduled for January next year.

During the meeting with the members of the Across Executive Board, Secretary general of the CHARM-EU alliance, Meritxell Chaves, shared important information about the vision of the European Commission in the coming period. CHARM-EU is the leading university alliance in the European Commission project relating to the cooperation among existing European universities’ alliances.

Just to remind you, Across Alliance, along with Banja Luka University, comprise of Bialystok University of Technology, University of Technology from Chemnitz, University of Craiova, University of Girona, University of Nova Gorica, University of Perpignan, University of Udine and “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, and one associated partner, The Ivan Franco University of Lviv.

UNIBL is the first and the only university from the Republic of Srpska that has become a full member of a European alliance of universities – Across. Participation of Banja Luka University in this project opens the door to all the students for more diverse and quality cooperation, education and exchange of experiences, as a characteristic of the most quality universities in Europe.
