Representatives of the University at the Reception Dedicated to 75 Years of China

On 27 September 2024, representatives of the University of Banja Luka attended a reception in honour of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The reception in Sarajevo, organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was attended by the Confucius Institute Home Director Assistant Professor Ljiljana Stević, PhD, Assistant Professor Nina Sajić, PhD, and Professor Ivana Zečević, PhD.

At the reception, which was attended by a large number of guests, the choir of the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka, conducted by Dušan V. Urošević, performed compositions in Serbian and Chinese.

October 1 is marked as the most important national holiday in China, as on that date in 1949, the Communist Party emerged victorious over the Chinese Nationalist Party in the civil war, and its leader Mao Zedong declared the formation  of the People's Republic of China.
