Participation in the GEANT Info Day

On 24 April 2024, the Head of the University Computer Centre Aleksandar Gaćina and Senior Associate for Scientific Research and Development of the University Dragana Radulović participated in the GEANT Info Day, held in Sarajevo.

The aim of this info-day, which was attended by the CEO of GEANT Eric Huizer, and which was organized with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), was to inform local participants, representatives of the relevant ministries and all public universities about recent developments in the academic research network, as well as to support its integration into the pan-European network of infrastructure and social resources.

The GEANT network has an important role in advancing research, education and innovation across Europe. Namely, the strong infrastructure of this network ensures that researchers and students collaborate smoothly, accessing resources, data and knowledge from all over Europe. In addition, networking of users is also possible through this network, in order to enable reliable access to open scientific initiatives. Moreover, GEANT collaborates with global research and education network partners, fostering high-performance connectivity around the world.
