The SMEQA Project Started with the Meeting in Zenica
University of Banja LukaGeneralThe kick-off meeting of the project "Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina - SMEQA" was held on 27 and 28 February 2024 in Zenica.
At the two-day event in Zenica, the University of Banja Luka was represented by Prof. Goran Janjić, PhD, and Prof. Dragan Gligorić, PhD.
The activities of this Erasmus + project, which has lasted for three years, are focused on the institutional and national strengthening of accreditation mechanisms, the harmonization of processes in B&H and the systematic implementation of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
The University of Zenica is the coordinator of the project, and in addition to the University of Banja Luka, there are 19 other institutions from the country and abroad that are participating in the project. The activities that will be implemented according to the work packages of the project were presented at the meeting, and the University of Banja Luka is the leader of the work package related to project monitoring and quality assurance.
The executive board of the consortium was formed, and Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Affairs and Quality Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, was elected to represent the University of Banja Luka, while in the quality board the University of Banja Luka will be represented by Prof. Goran Janjić, PhD.
