Another Classroom Renovated at the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn 30 January 2024, a classroom for teaching and project education was opened at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, which was renovated as part of the "DeepGreenInno" project.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, pointed out that the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is one of the most active University members in regard to project activities.
"This project was funded from international sources and one of its results is the equipping of this multifunctional classroom that will serve as a training centre, but also as a classroom that will be used by professors, teaching assistants and students.", the rector said.
Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Prof. Radoslav Dekić, said that the reconstruction of the classroom improved the conditions for studying in this higher education institution.
"We had the support of the University and the Rectorate for all our projects, and I hope that we will continue projects that, apart from scientific research and the purchase of equipment, can result in the adaptation of the premises", Dekić said.
"In the project, we had a certain amount of the budget for the adaptation of the premises so that we could hold trainings, workshops and seminars in the most representative way possible," the project coordinator, Prof. Suzana Gotovac Atlagić, PhD, said.
The "DeepGreenInno" project, total value of which is EUR 750,000, was designed and written at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, which is also the coordinator with altogether eight teams from five countries. The goal of the project is to promote materials science with a multidisciplinary approach.
In October 2023, a reconstructed computer classroom was opened at the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics. The "M:tel" company donated BAM 60,000 for its reconstruction.
