Visit to the Innovation Center and Shanghai University Hospital

The delegation of the University of Banja Luka, led by Rector Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, which is on a working visit to China, visited the Innovation Center for the Development of Biomedical Technologies at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences of Shanghai on 10 December 2023.

Rector of the University of Medicine and Health Sciences Prof. Wu Tao, PhD, hosted this visit and presented to the University of Banja Luka delegation the latest achievements in various fields of medicine, including medical aids for the rehabilitation and recovery of patients. These medical aids function with the help of artificial intelligence.

In the meeting held in November 2023, in Banja Luka, the University of Medicine and Health Sciences and the University of Banja Luka reached an agreement on the opening of such a center at the University of Banja Luka.

On the same day, Rector Gajanin met with Du Qing, Director of the University Hospital of Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences. This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the possibilities of exchanging doctors, professors and medical students, and after the meeting, a tour of the hospital was arranged.

Together with Rector Gajanin, Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, Head of the Sinology Study Programme Asst. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, and Teaching Assistant Anja Mudrenović, MA, are staying for a several-day working visit to China.
