Rector's Meeting with the BH Ambassador to China

On 14 July 2023, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, talked with with the newly appointed ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China Prof. Siniša Berjan, PhD.

The rector informed the ambassador about the cooperation with Chinese universities it has had so far, which has been extremely successful and productive. According to Rector Gajanin, in the last five years, cooperation has been achieved in various fields, such as medicine, culture, agriculture, all thanks to the activities of the Confucius Institute.

Rector Gajanin added that last year the University of Banja Luka made another step forward in cooperation with China - by launching the Study Programme of Sinology at the Faculty of Philology.

At the meeting, the rector further explained that the first-year Sinology students had the opportunity to listen to classes in excellent conditions, as well as to attend seminars in Serbia and China. 

During the meeting in Rector Gajanin's office, which was also attended by Head of the Sinology Study Programme and the University of Banja Luka Confucius Institute Home Director Assoc. Prof. Ljiljana Stević, PhD, talks were conducted of establishing cooperation between our university and other Chinese higher education institutions, as well as other forms of academic cooperation with China, all with the aim of further strengthening cooperation with this country.
