Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, Elected Vice-Rector of the University

At its 93rd session held on 25 May 2023, the Senate of the University of Banja Luka elected Prof. Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, to the position of vice-rector for scientific research and development of the University.

Aleksandar Ostojić, PhD, is a full professor at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka. He graduated and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka, and his master's degree from the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He has been employed at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Banja Luka since 2004, where he was elected to associate and teaching positions. In his career, he was the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and a member of the Senate of the University of Banja Luka. He was the head of the Agricultural Economics and Rural Development Study Programme at the Faculty of Agriculture, and he heads the Institute for Agricultural Economics and Rural Development.

He is a full professor in the narrow scientific field of agricultural economics and rural development, and he teaches at all study cycles. He is also a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals, the author and co-author of a number of books and scientific papers, and takes part in a number of projects.
