Demonstration Center for China Agricultural Equipment Opened

On 18 November 2022, the East Europe Demonstration Center for China Agricultural Equipment (ICAAE), as part of the ’Belt and Road’ Forum for International Cooperation and Development on Agricultural Modernization, was officially opened. The ceremony was, on behalf of the University of Banja Luka, attended online by Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Prof. Miroslav Malinović, PhD.

The Center was established through the trilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska, University of Banja Luka and Jiangsu University. Accordingly, the activities to be undertaken through the Demonstration Center by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska, University of Banja Luka and Jiangsu University include, inter alia, joint training of governmental officials and representatives of research institutions and enterprises on application and maintenance of agricultural machinery technology and food safety, as well as joint research focusing on agriculture and food engineering and new economies featuring new industries and business models in the context of new industrial revolution.

Furthermore, the plan is also to work on organizing global forums on agricultural machinery and food engineering, as well as to build the network of international and national industry leaders, industry design experts. New knowledges will be gained in the field of agriculture, which the professors and teaching assistants at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka will benefit from.

The ’Belt and Road’ Forum for International Cooperation and Development on Agricultural Modernization is held in Zhenjiang, China.
