Protocol on Internship of Future Preschool Teachers and Educators Signed
University of Banja LukaGeneralRector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Minister of Education and Culture Natalija Trivić, PhD, signed on 5 July 2022 the Protocol on Internship of Students, which defines the way of conducting the internships of students who are studying to be preschool teachers and educators.
,,The strategic goal of the University of Banja Luka is to increase the share of practical teaching in all study programmes, and one of the ways to increase professional training is to sign this protocol, which defines the way of conducting internships for future educators. Also, we have signed a set of protocols with public and private companies that enable our students to do their internshipsˮ, Rector Gajanin said, stressing that the share of practical teaching at the University of Banja Luka is increasing year by year.
,,With this protocol, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska opens the doors of primary and secondary schools for vocational/professional training, and we have also agreed with the Banja Luka Centre for Preschool Education that students of preschool education do their internships in preschool institutions.“, Trivić said and emphasized that that this is just one of the activities with which the Ministry is trying to improve the quality of education of future teaching staff.
This protocol, signed in the premises of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, defines the conducting of internship of students of the University of Banja Luka in the Public Institution ’Centre for Preschool Education’ and primary and secondary education institutions located in the City of Banja Luka.
The Protocol will thus include students studying at the University of Banja Luka members where the pedagogical group of subjects is studied, namely students of: the Academy of Arts, the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Political Science, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. In addition to internship, the Protocol gives students the opportunity to do professional research, the results of which they will later be able to use in the preparation of final papers for the first cycle of studies.
