Students from France Visiting the Faculty of Agriculture
University of Banja LukaGeneralA group of ten students at the second cycle of studies from ISTOM College of International Agro-Development of the French city of Angers arrived on 20 June 2022 on a working visit to the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Banja Luka.
The guests from France, who arrived to our University and Banja Luka together with Prof. Samuel Laboisse, to learn more about the beekeeping resources in the Banja Luka region, were welcomed on behalf of the University of Banja Luka by Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD.
,,I can freely say that the Faculty of Agriculture is definitely one of the most active faculties of our university in terms of international cooperation,“ Vice-Rector Balaban said in her welcoming speech and stressed that this visit constitutes the beginning of a good cooperation.
,,Topics that you will be dealing with during your stay in this area are the preservation of bee communities and sustainable beekeeping, which is one of the key topics of modern science,“ she said.
The students were also addressed by Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and International Cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Željko Vaško, PhD, and among those present were Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Biljana Rogić, PhD, and Prof. Gordana Rokvić Knežić, PhD, Head of the Agrarian Economics and Rural Development Study Programme. In the forthcoming days, more professors from France plan to join the students, who are staying in Banja Luka until 17 July.
