Rector Gajanin Talked with Mayor Stanivuković

On 13 September 2021, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, met with the Mayor of the City of Banja Luka Draško Stanivuković.

,,At the working meeting with Mayor Stanivuković, the dynamics of completing the project activities pertaining to the design of the building of the preschool educational centre - kindergarten building in the University Campus was set up, and the Protocol on student internship in companies founded by the City of Banja Luka was signed.’’, the rector said after the meeting held at the City Administration premises.

,,As for the student internships, the plan is for the project activities to be implemented continuously, in March, so that students can do their internship in summer, when there is a break at the faculties.”, Rector Gajanin said. 

During the meeting, financial support to the University from the City budget was agreed, for joint projects of mutual interest.

As the mayor said, good practices will be continued, and this meeting is important because for the first time in the City budget, grant funds intended for the University will be provided.

He said that at the meeting, they also discussed changes to the regulatory plan, which concern the new City Park, and which should form a completely new ambient unit with the University Campus, the first quay on the Vrbas River, and the new look of "Aquana".

,,One of the important topics of today's meeting is the construction of the kindergarten, which will be to the benefit of University employees, but also students who have chosen this profession, since their practice could be organized in that institution as well.’’, the mayor said.

The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, and Adviser to the Mayor for Social Issues Milada Šukalo.
