Meeting of the Directors of Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka and the Ambassador of PR China in BH

Directors of the Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka Ljiljana Stević and Shen Li met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in BH Ji Ping on 9 March 2021. 

At the meeting held at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sarajevo, they discussed the plan of future activities of the Confucius Institute for this year, as well as the establishing of the Sinology Study Programme at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka.

The Ambassador also emphasized the importance of different cultural events that the Confucius Institute regularly organizes in which it presents the Chinese culture to the general public, for the purpose of connecting the two countries. 

The Ambassador especially referred to the activities organized by the Confucius Institute at the School of Economics in Doboj and the large number of students interested in learning Chinese, emphasizing the importance of this cooperation, among other things, due to significant Chinese projects in this city. 

The meeting was also attended by Li Yao, Head of the Political Sector at the Embassy, and Huang Xuejia, Attaché at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.
