University of Banja LukaGeneralThe cultural manifestation ,,Days of Vlade S. Milošević’’ was opened on 14 December 2020 in the Chamber Hall at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka.
According to Assistant Minister of Culture Tanja Đaković, this event is strongly supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska because it preserves the intangible cultural heritage and gives it importance, significance and values.
Đaković, who opened the 20th jubilee manifestation "Days of Vlade S. Milošević", expressed satisfaction with the fact that even this year, during the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers managed to hold one of the most important manifestations in the field of music art in the Republic of Srpska.
She added that every year students and professors of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and the Musicological Society of the Republic of Srpska pay tribute to Milošević for everything he has done for the Republic of Srpska and show gratitude for what he has left.
According to her, what distinguishes this from manifestations of a similar type is its educational character, i.e., the programme that provides students of the Academy of Arts as well as all other interested citizens to learn more in the field of music, tradition, ethnomusicology and music theory.
,,This is in line with the strategic commitments and cultural policies of the relevant ministry - to develop the audience, to spread knowledge and to open the doors of culture to all citizens who want to take an active part in it“, Đaković pointed out.
Acting Dean of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Dragana Purković Macan, MA, said that this manifestation has been held since 2000 and that it is extremely important for the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and the Musicological Society of the Republic of Srpska, alike.
,,It is important for us to maintain continuity, in general, in the performance of our artists, i.e., professors of the music art study programme, because we know what situation we are in currently, but also continuity in science and research.", she said.
Prof. Sanda Dodik, PhD, emphasized that, although it is difficult to hold any larger gatherings due to the circumstances, the Academy always tried to put focus on Vlado Milošević in the manifestation.
During the opening ceremony of this event, awards were presented to the best students in the Music Art Study Programme Minja Šukalo and Vanja Vukčević.
Manifestation "Days of Vlade S. Milošević 2020" will be held until 17 December, in the organization of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka and the Musicological Society of the Republic of Srpska, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
