Students Performed the „Baroque Tea Party in Banja Luka”

The event „Baroque Tea Party in Banja Luka”, organized by the Faculty of Philology and the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka, was held on 10 December 2020.

 

At the initiative of Acting Dean of the Faculty of Philology Prof. Biljana Babić, PhD, and Acting Dean of the Academy of Arts Prof. Dragana Purković Macan, PhD, the Faculty of Philology hosted the presentation of Baroque literature and art with a cup of tea.

Students of the two faculties enthusiastically recited the poetry of selected poets of both domestic and world baroque literature. The visitors had the opportunity to listen to the compositions by Baroque composers for violin, as well as watch the presentation of the most relevant works of art from the Baroque period.

The Children's Theatre of the Republic of Srpska gave baroque style costumes to third-year students of the Acting Study Programme at the Academy of Arts in the class of professor Jelena Trepetova Kostić, who delighted the audience with their performance of poetry by Gavrilo Stefanović Venclović. Students of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka also won the sympathy of the audience.
