Conference of Awarded Professors and Teaching Assistants Held
University of Banja LukaGeneralProfessors and teaching assistants of the University of Banja Luka, who were assigned cash awards based on international results achieved in scientific research and educational work for 2019, presented their scientific papers and projects at the conference held on 10 November 2020.
The conference, held in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Political Science, was attended by around twenty teaching assistants employed during 2019 and 2020.
Welcoming speech was given by the rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and the conference was organized and led by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development Prof. Goran Latinović, PhD.
Out of a total of 67 awarded professors and teaching assistants, 13 of them presented the content of their works and projects, as well as the procedure of publishing scientific papers and applying for projects.
They shared their experiences with younger colleagues who are just entering the world of science: Prof. Peđa Kovačević, PhD, Prof. Darija Gajić, PhD, Prof. Lana Nežić, PhD, Prof. Miloš Stojiljković, PhD, Prof. Smiljana Paraš, Prof. Dijana Jelić, PhD, Assist. Prof. Irena Irena Kasagić Vujanović, PhD, Prof. Gordana Broćeta, PhD, Prof. Mariana Kapović Solomon, PhD, Assist. Prof. Dragan Korać, PhD, Assist. Prof. Suzana Gotovac Atlagić, PhD, Đorđe Lekić, MA, and Biljana Gatarić, MA.
Let us be reminded that, at its 52th session held on 27 October 2020, the Steering Board of the University of Banja Luka made decisions on cash awards for the University professors and teaching assistants for 2019. The awards were allocated in three categories, for 67 professors and teaching assistants, and the monetary fund amounted to BAM 68,175.50.
Cash awards were assigned to 42 professors and teaching assistants who are authors of the indexed research paper published in 2019, and the total monetary fund for this category amounted to BAM 52,375.50. Awards were assigned to 21 professors and teaching assistants who were managers, coordinators or participants in the international research projects last year. A total of BAM 13,000 was allocated to this category. Moreover, four professors and teaching assistants who were coordinators or contact persons last year in the Erasmus+ projects – Key Action 2 – Capacity Building were awarded, and the monetary fund for this category was BAM 2,800.
The conference was organized as part of the ceremony dedicated to 45 years of work and development of the University of Banja Luka, and the event was held in compliance with all epidemiological recommendations.
