The ,Students Encountering Science’ Conference Has Finished

The twelfth scientific conference titled ,Students Encountering Science’ (StES) finished on 30 November 2019 with the ceremony of awarding students who wrote the best scientific papers at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka.

Members of the expert committees composed of professors at the University of Banja Luka were tasked with selecting the best work in each category. Hence, the committee decided that Zorana Djekanovic had the best paper in the category of Biotechnical and Agricultural Sciences, whereas Jelena Lazovic was awarded in the category of Engineering and Technology.

As for the category of Health Sciences - Preclinical Session, the best paper belonged to Vladimir Savia, while Tijana Stanojkovic was awarded in the category of Health Sciences – Clinical Session. In the category Humanities, Jelena Raca had the best paper, whereas the paper of Aleksandar Kovacevic was the best in the category of Social Sciences. The committee was of the opinion that Ana Milenkovic had the best paper in the category Natural Sciences.

The Students’ Parliament of the University of Banja Luka once again proved to be an excellent organizer and host, thus continuing the tradition of the StES Conference, which it first organized back in 2008.

The interdisciplinary character of the conference is an opportunity for students of all study cycles and different affinities to promote themselves, to present their scientific and professional achievements and learn about the scientific achievements of students from other universities. The StES Conference is also a challenging opportunity for young scientists and researchers to deploy their strengths internationally while learning something new in the field of science they are studying. 

This conference was organized by the Students’ Parliament of the University of Banja Luka and the University of Banja Luka, under the auspices of the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srspka and sponsored by Addiko Bank.
