Cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine and Tianjin Medical University Agreed

On 8 December 2019, the University of Banja Luka delegation, which is currently staying in China, paid a visit to Tianjin Medical University (TMU) and on this occasion a cooperation was agreed between this Chinese higher education institution and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Professor Ranko Skrbic, PhD, presented a detailed plan of cooperation at the meeting, and the agreed cooperation will cover three areas.

One of the areas in which these two higher education institutions will cooperate is oncology. Namely, this form of cooperation has been set up with one of the seven hospitals of this university dealing with oncology research. Cooperation will also be established in the area of intensive care, and the plan is to also set up cooperation in the area of basic research. As emphasized at the meeting, cooperation will later also be developed in other branches of medicine.

The meeting participants expressed their wish to organize a scientific symposium and invite prominent experts and associates from both sides.

During his visit to this University, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Professor Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, thanked Vice Rector Yu Chungshui for the reception and cooperation.

The delegation is still in China and plans to visit the International Conference of Confucius Institutes in Changsha, Hunan Province. It is an event that brings together rectors, deans and directors from more than 140 countries around the world.
