Representatives of the University at the Reception Devoted to the 70th Anniversary of PR China

Delegation of the University of Banja Luka, led by Vice Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Professor Goran Latinovic, PhD, attended the reception organized in Sarajevo on 30 September 2019 to celebrate 70 years since the proclamation of the People's Republic of China.

The reception, organized in Holidej Hotel by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was besides Vice Rector Latinovic attended by the dean of the Faculty of Security Sciences of the University of Banja Luka Assistant Professor Predrag Ceranic, PhD, Assistant Professor Velibor Lalic, PhD, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka Ljiljana Stevic and the interpreter and lecturer at the Confucius Institute Anja Mudrenovic.

In a brief conversation, Vice Rector Latinovic and Ambassador Ping expressed mutual belief that cooperation between the University of Banja Luka and the People's Republic of China would remain high and would be advanced in all areas. 

Chinese Ambassador to BiH Ji Ping said during the reception that the good relations between the two countries were best evidenced by the fact that more than 45,000 Chinese tourists visited BiH in the first half of this year, which is by 99 percent more than in the same period last year, ranking China third with respect to foreign tourist arrivals in BiH. He also said that the cultural exchange of BiH and China has led to satisfactory results, Chinese language learning is more and more popular, more representatives of the Chinese culture have visited BiH, so that citizens have the opportunity to enjoy Chinese music, songs, dance, painting and films.

This reception was attended by many political and diplomatic figures, as well as economic, cultural and political officials.
