Conference on Joint Study Programs and Degrees Held
University of Banja LukaGeneralConference on ‘Joint Programs and Degrees, Strategy, Management, Implementation ‒ Main Challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina’ was held on 4th October 2019 at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka.
This conference was organized within the National Erasmus+ Office in BiH, and the topic was joint study programs and degrees, as well as main challenges the higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina face.
Vice Rector for Scientific Research and University Development Professor Goran Latinovic, PhD, and Director of the National Erasmus+ Office in BiH Suad Muhibic welcomed the participants of the conference. Professor Frank McMahon from Dublin Institute of Technology was the main lecturer, while Dzenan Omanovic, member of the Higher Education Reform Experts Team (HERE), shared the information and recommendations from the previous conference held in Novi Sad.
As some organizational units of the University of Banja Luka started the process of creating joint study programs with partner universities from different European countries, the conference was an opportunity to hear different experiences and potential legal, organizational and teaching challenges these organizational units might face. The conference was attended by about 50 professors, assistants and administrative staff of the University of Banja Luka, as well as guests from other parts of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH.
