Agreements on Traineeship with Komercijalna banka Signed
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn 15 October 2019, Chairman of the Management Board of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka Bosko Mekinjic, PhD, signed the agreements on traineeship for eight graduates at first cycle studies at the University of Banja Luka.
Mekinjic emphasized that this is a continuation of the previous cooperation with the University of Banja Luka.
,,Here we have colleagues from different faculties such as the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Faculty of Security Sciences, and we expect that a representative of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering will join us soon’’, Chairman of the Management Board of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka said.
,,Hence, we have made it clear that banking and finance are not only reserved for economists but also for other profiles of experts, and that we are faced with new trends in the field of finance“, Mekinjic said and emphasized that this is only an indicator that studying and hard work pays off.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by Rector of the University of Banja Luka Professor Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, who thanked the management board of Komercijalna banka for all the activities related to the employment of trainees.
,,Komercijalna banka and the University have signed a Business Cooperation Agreement, and one of the determinants of that agreement is the traineeship for our best students,'' Rector Gajanin said.
He expressed the expectation that University of Banja Luka graduates, who will do traineeships over the next year, will present themselves in the best way as future workers, as well as their faculty and the University of Banja Luka.
Rector Gajanin stated that this was one of the first practical examples of the University's cooperation with the business community. He also stated that, pursuant to the previously concluded agreement, the University and Komercijalna banka will jointly conduct research of the business sector for the needs of various highly educated professionals in the labor market.
Andrijana Kovacevic, who graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, will do the traineeship over the next one year.
,,I want to build a career in banking, so I think this traineeship is an ideal opportunity to gain my first practical experience, but also to step into the world of banking’’, she said.
Aleksandar Stegic, who graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, will also do the traineeship. He thanked for the opportunity given to work as a trainee at Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka over the next one year and so improve the gained knowledge.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by Vice Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation of the University of Banja Luka Professor Biljana Antunovic, PhD, and the members of Komercijalna banka a.d. Banja Luka Management Board Dragana Vujicic Stefanovic, MSc, and Sinisa Smiljanic.
