The Scientific Monograph „Population of the Republic of Srpska – Demographic Factors and Indicators” Was Promoted

The scientific monograph „Population of the Republic of Srpska – Demographic Factors and Indicators” by the authors Professor Drasko Marinkovic, PhD, and Aleksandar Majic, ma, was promoted on the 11^th September 2019 within the 24^th International Book Fair „Banja Luka 2019’’.

Aside from the author, one of the reviewers, Professor Branislav Đurđev, PhD, from Novi Sad, spoke at the promotion of the monograph. The promotion of this significant monograph gathered a great number of guests, who had the opportunity to get useful information on one of the most current topics in the society.

With this monograph issued by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka, the authors give a significant contribution to the understanding of the process of genesis and transformation of the population and to the methodology of integral study of the population of the Republic of Srpska, alike. The results achieved by the authors are of fundamental scientific importance and are directly relevant for solving specific problems and factors in the development of the RS population. This book is recommendable also due to the fact that up to date we have not had such a complete demographic analysis of the population of the Republic of Srpska, and that there are still many misconceptions in the general public and a misunderstanding of the severity of the demographic situation in the Republic of Srpska.

This is the sixth time the University of Banja Luka is participating in the 24^th International Book Fair, which is taking place in the Borik Sports Hall until the 16th of September 2019, as an independent presenter.
