Meeting with Professor Dr Uroš Čvoro
University of Banja LukaGeneralProfessor Dr Biljana Antunović, Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation at University of Banja Luka, held a meeting on December 26, 2018 with Uroš Čvoro, Professor at the University of Sydney.
The meeting was also attended by Professor Dr Mladen Miljanović, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka.
This meeting was only a section of Prof. Dr Čvoro’s activities at the University, as he will be lecturing at the Academy of Arts from December 24 to December 28.
Lectures on the topic of “Key art practices after the year 2000” will be held from 1pm to 3pm in the classroom for Intermedia Art.
Professor Dr Uroš Čvoro, teaches Theory of Art at the UNSW Art & Design in Sydney.
Čvoro’s current research focuses on the role of art in post-socialist and transitional societies, the representation of nationalism, and the relations of contemporary art and politics in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
His latest books are Turbo-folk Music and Cultural Representations of National Identity in Former Yugoslavia (Ashgate), and Transitional Aesthetics: Contemporary Art at the Edge of Europe (Bloombery).
