Agreement on Understanding with the University of Information Science and Technology 'St Paul the Apostle'
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn 12 July 2018, the Agreement on Understanding was signed between the University of Information Science and Technology 'St Paul the Apostle' of Ohrid (Republic of Macedonia) and the University of Banja Luka by Prof. Ninoslav Marina and Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, the respective Rectors.
The Signatories expressed their wish for the Agreement to connect the two institutions, pointing out the fact that this cooperation was to mutual satisfaction.
Prof. Gajanin informed his guest on the workings of the University of Banja Luka, as well as on its decades long academic tradition.
In addition, he said that the Agreement was going to be supported by the management of the University, and especially by the Deans of the Faculty of Sciences, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering respectively.
Rector Marina said that his University had been established in 2009, adding that this was a higher education institution where subjects were taught in English, with students coming from all over the world.
Also discussed were some of the concrete items of this Agreement, such as academic staff and student exchange, as well as joint applications for certain projects.
The Deans of the aforementioned Faculties presented the organization of their respective units and offered models for the forthcoming cooperation, emphasizing the segments of education and projects.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Goran Latinovic, PhD, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Biljana Antunovic, PhD, Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Strain Posavljak, PhD, Vice-Rector for Education and Students' Affairs, Mr Djordje Markez, MA, Secretary-General of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Goran Trbic, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Darko Knezevic, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Branko Blanusa, PHD, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
