The World Music Day 2018 celebrated
GeneralStudents of the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka celebrated the World Music Day on 21 June 2018, performing selected pieces at several locations across the city of Banja Luka.
The festivities began in one of the city's pre-school facilities, the 'Natasa' kindergarden, followed by a performance on the traditional Chinese instrument of guqin in the atrium of the City Administration. At the same time, this event marked the official start of the City of Banja Luka project entitled 'Culture in a passage', allowing for performance of various cultural contents on this location.
'This very site is designed to serve such multi-functional purposes, so we have appropriately chosen this worldwide event to promote cultural programmes in the city. From now on, on Thursdays, this is where performers of all kinds are going to present their work', said Ms Natalija Trivic, Head of the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Social Policy of the City Administration.
