Joint meeting of respective cabinets of rectors - public invitation 13 June - entrance exam 2 July
University of Banja LukaGeneralAt the meeting of the rectors of the University of Banja Luka and Istocno Sarajevo respectively, accompanied by their respective cabinet members, held on the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka on 8 June 2018, a decision was made to announce Public invitation for enrollment at academic studies at public higher education institutions in the Republic of Srpska in the daily newspapers of 'Nezavisne novine' and 'Euro Blic' on 13 June 2018.
The candidates are going to submit the necessary documentation in the period of 18-29 June, with the entrance exam taking place on 2 July 2018. The preliminary results are going to be announced on 4 July by 2 p.m.
On 5-6 July, the candidates will be able to file possible complaints regarding any aspect of the entrance exam, with final results scheduled for 9 July and the administrative procedures concerning the process of enrollment taking place on 10-13 July.
Those faculties that have not met their respective proposed quotas are going to organize the second entrance exam on 7 September 2018, with the candidates submitting their documents on 27 August – 5 September following the public invitation scheduled for 22 August.
The preliminary results are going to be announced on 10 September, the complaint period stretching from 11 to 13 September, with final results on 14 September 2018.
As for the administrative procedures concerning the process of enrollment, they are scheduled for 17-19 September, with classes for all first cycle students starting on 1 October 2018.
In relation to this, the staff exchange between the two institutions was discussed, for the purpose of securing uninterrupted education process in the 2018/2019 academic year.
In addition, there were other issues discussed, such as the implementation of the Rulebook on Norms and Standards for Financing Higher Education Institutions and paying overtime fees, the initiative for designing a new Law on Higher Education in the Republic of Srpska, professors employed at two institutions at the same time, as well as the forthcoming accreditation of public universities and individual study programmes.
