Cooperation with the Institute for Political Studies from Belgrade, Serbia
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn November 28, 2017, the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka and the Institute for Political Sciences from Belgrade, Serbia signed the agreement on cooperation concerning co-publishing the Politeia Journal for Social Issues, which represents a significant form of the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations in the area of academic issues between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
As a result of this cooperation, this is the first time one scholarly journal from the Republic of Srpska has been registered in the Republic of Serbia, with a view to establishing relations between domestic and regional scholars, as well as stronger connections between Serbian-speaking scholars in the domain of social sciences.
On that occasion, Prof. Zdravko Zlokapa, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Editor-in-Chief of the Politeia, expressed his satisfaction at the fact that the Journal had been positioned within the regional academic ambience, and announced that additional efforts would be made to enter the Journal into referent international lists and databases in the domain of social sciences.
Dr Zivojin Djuric, Director of the Institute for Political Studies and a member of Editorial Board, underlined the importance of this cooperation, announcing that the institution he represented would complete all the steps aimed at securing a high scholarly category for the Journal, which is going to attract a number of scholars to publish their papers in it.
The Politeia is a multidisciplinary journal publishing papers from the fields of political sciences, international relations, sociology, communications, cultural studies, social policies, social work, as well as other fields from the scope of social sciences.
