The University of Banja Luka taking part at the 61th International Book Fair in Belgrade
University of Banja LukaGeneralThe University of Banja Luka presented its publishing activity at the 61st International Book Fair in Belgrade held on October 20-23, 2016.
As in previous years, The University presented its most representative publications at the stand of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, where were presented 16 scientific and educational publications (one from each organizational unit), published in the last year.
On October 28, a rector prof. Dr. Milan Mataruga and students of the University of Banja Luka visited the Stand where our publications were exposed. They were welcomed by Mr. Mladjen Cicovic, head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia. More than 100 students of Banja Luka University visited International Book Fair in Belgrade, and as in previous years, it was organized by the Students' Parliament with the support of the University.
Promotion of publishing activity of the University of Banja Luka, was the activity part of the Republic of Srpska at the 61st International Book Fair in Belgrade, organised by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, in cooperation with the Publishers Association of the Republic of Srpska.
This year performance of the Republic of Srpska at International Book Fair in Belgrade was marked by the celebration of the centenary of the death of our prominent writer Petar Kocic, and it took place under the slogan "Ides li rode".
More than 450 local and international publishers attended the largest book fair in the region. The honorary guest of the most massive cultural event in Serbia, held under the motto "Knjige u ruke", was the Republic of Iran.
