DigiVox team – the winner of the Start-up weekend in Novi Sad, Serbia

The team of the DigiVox students’ company, which was developed and functions under the auspices of the University Entrepreneurship Centre of the University of Banja Luka, is the winner of the Startup weekend, held in Novi Sad, Serbia, at the end of October.
The members of the winner team are: Mr Aleksandar Čičić, Mr Gradimir Stanković, Mr Ognjen Ranisavić, Ms Milica Jovičić, and Mr Srđan Đukić, and their application, the HiveMind, was declared the best application by the panel of judges – they won the highest number of votes (double more than the runner-up).

The HiveMind – Advanced Beekeeping Management Solution is an advanced software that will enable beekeepers to collect information, monitor the genetics of bees, and increase the yield and safety of their hives more easily. 

‘Winning one of the most significant start-up events in the region confirms that the University of Banja Luka has great human potential for developing our city and region. The process of global digitalisation opens some new possibilities we could have only dreamt about 10 years ago. All that is necessary is to cope with the problem and try to solve it’, say the members of the winner team.

The Start-up weekend is an international event gathering young entrepreneurs from all over the world. For 54 hours, the participants were developing their ideas with the aim of turning them into a real business. At the end of the event, the popular ‘pitching’ is held, where teams get an opportunity to present their ideas and projects before the panel of judges.
Every year, winner teams become members of the business incubator in Novi Sad and receive investment offers. The Start-up weekend is an excellent stepping stone for developing projects, and the event itself is held in 150 states.
