The European Committee awarded University of Banja Luka a HR Excellence in Research, making the University the first scientific-research institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina to bear of this sign.

By awarding it the HR, the Committee honored the University for its dedication to the principles of the European Researcher Charter and the Researcher Employment Code which the University signed on January 2013, also as the first institution to do so in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the commitment to achieve fair and transparent employment and the application procedures for employing researchers.

The HR Excellence means that the University of Banja Luka upholds the standards which the European Union set when it comes to the rights and responsibilities of the researchers and that the procedures for the employment at the University are meeting the European ones.

Using the HR will significantly improve international recognition of the University of Banja Luka, which is of special importance when it comes to applying for international projects and participating in consortia.

Earning the HR Excellence is a significant recognition for the University, but simultaneously it is a responsibility, because it implies executing all the measures of the Action plan based on the questionnaire on The European Researcher Charter and the Code conducted at the University of Banja Luka.
