The University of Banja Luka's help to the citizens in the flood-affected areas
FloodsUniversity of Banja LukaThe Steering Board of the University of Banja Luka will make a decision, at a meeting scheduled for Monday morning, concerning the allocation of funds for helping the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and Brcko District struck by the floods.
The Rector of the University of Banja Luka Stanko Stanic has invited all the employees of the University to help the endangered citizens by providing their own financial aid as well as other means of material support. Furthermore, he has also invited all the employees to volunteer for actions that will be organized throughout the Republic of Srpska with the aim of providing help to the endangered and removing the consequences of the catastrophic floods, and all those who volunteer will be released from work duties at their workplace.
The Rector Stanic has also held a meeting today with the managing board of the Students' Parliament of the University of Banja Luka where coordination of activities was arranged.
Regarding the teaching process, the Dean's Board of the University of Banja Luka will make a decision, at a meeting which is also scheduled for early Monday morning, about the organisation of the teaching process and discuss the Students' Parliament's proposal that the teaching process be postponed for one week, considering that the students have expressed willingness to join the student brigades which would participate in actions concerned with providing help to the endangered citizens and cleaning of the flood-affected areas.
