Learning objectives
Acquiring basic knowledge about the population as a subject of complex spatial relations and characteristics, which have a significant influence on naturism. Explanation of the spatio-temporal interrelationship of the number, distribution and structural characteristics of the population and tourist activity. Analysis of factors of spatial distribution of the population, dynamic components of natural and spatial mobility, and vital population structures in the global, regional and local space. Explanation of the geographical dimensions of the urbanization process.
Learning outcomes
Students should acquire basic knowledge about the role of the population in shaping and changing the geospatial reality and its impact on tourism. It is necessary to master the techniques for collecting demographic data, as well as their use for the purpose of various analyses. Getting to know the specific elements of the material and spiritual culture of certain ethnic groups, forms of social life, norms and forms of behavior, religions that are the basis of the formation of different cultures, basic demographic characteristics of the landlords, the development of settlements throughout history.

Population - concept, significance, research. Interrelationship between population and tourist activity. Collection and processing of population data. Developed Kludskogrod. Distribution of the population on the ground. Population density and urbanization. Natural movement of the population. Migration of the population - concept, types and factors.Circular movement (circulation) of the population. Gender and age structure of the population. Socio-economic structure of the population. Ethnic and religious (religious) structure of the population. Cultural-linguistic, racial and anthropological structure of the population. Ethno-social values ​​in tourism. Forms of social life. Peoples and cultures of the world. Peoples and cultures of Europe (Slovenian ethnic group, Germanic ethnic group, Romani ethnic group, Other ethnic communities in Europe). Peoples and cultures of Asia (Peoples of West Asia, Peoples of Central Asia, Peoples of North Asia, Peoples of South Asia, Peoples of East Asia, Peoples of Southeast Asia), Peoples of Africa, America, Australia and Oceania. The development of settlements throughout history, which represent spatial-cultural-historical units attractive for tourist visits. Ethno-demographic characteristics of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska.
Teaching Methods
Acquiring basic knowledge about the population through spatio-temporal interdependence caused by changes in the number, distribution and vital structures of the population and their impact on tourism in our country and in the world. Professional knowledge and skills will be provided through lectures, exercises and consultations. Seminar papers are processed during the exercises.

Evaluation and grading
The knowledge test is done in writing (colloquy) during the semester. The final exam is taken orally. Submitted and defended seminar work on the exercises is a condition for taking the oral exam.
