| Learning objectives | ||||
| The aim of lectures and workshops is to enable students to use different methods, approaches and practical knowledge in the filed of social work with individuals. Students will be able to apply knowledge: in using holistic approach to human needs and issues; establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with clients; assessment of needs, risks, strengths and resources of individuals and families; planning interventions, services and measures that need to be applied. | ||||
| Learning outcomes | ||||
| It is expected that students grasp the basic theory and practice knowledge to apply different methods of social work, ability to recognize the importance of individual and team work, as well as to keep records while working with individuals and families. Students are expected to be able to apply the modern approaches in social work with individuals, which includes the following contents: Skills necessary to prepare for the work with clients; establishing and maintaining helping relationship; documentation assessment; cooperation with other professionals; assessing the history of clients and problems; environment assessment; synthesis of all facts (collected data); social therapy (treatment); developing the social anamnesis and skills necessary to write the findings and opinion of social worker, as well as monitoring the measures applied (evaluation of social work with client). | ||||

| The content of this unit is directed towards description, analysis and assessment of possibilities to use the basic methods important in the practice of social work with individuals and families, which are delivered in accordance with the Syllabus (scheduled topics for each week throughout the semester). | ||||
