Studying and mastering the development of architectural and artistic creation during the Old Age and getting acquainted with the basic principles of aesthetics of the civilizations of the Middle East and the ancient Mediterranean. Getting acquainted with the basic social, historical and general events as well as the factors that led to the formation of the first civilizations and their creation. Introduction to the aesthetics of ancient civilizations and pointing out the importance of symbolism in art. | ||||
Learning outcomes | ||||
Learning outcomes are the acquired knowledge about the first civilizations in the Middle East and the Mediterranean, as the focus of the development of the culture of Western civilizations. Understanding the social and historical context in which the mentioned civilizations were located and the conditions that led to the emergence of architecture and art on their soil. Mastering the principles of forming the first cities and elementary urban systems.Understanding the use of individual materials and structural systems as well as the basic forms of buildings that had a far-reaching impact on the later course of architecture and art development. Acquisition of knowledge about the principles of aesthetics of ancient times. An integral view of the creativity of the Old Age, through the understanding of legality and unbreakable connection in all domains of creativity. | ||||
