Rector Talked with the German Ambassador
University of Banja LukaGeneralRector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, talked with the German Ambassador in BH Margret Uebber on 3 March 2021.
Rector Gajanin points out that as for the countries of the European Union, the University of Banja Luka has the best cooperation with higher education institutions from Germany.
According to the rector, the University has good cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Trizdorf, Saarland University, the Technical University of Cologne, Bochum University of Applied Sciences, but also a number of other higher education institutions from Germany. He especially emphasized the cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Essen, which together with the Fairnetzen Foundation provides scholarships to students of the University of Banja Luka.
The German Ambassador emphasizes that the goal is to further strengthen and develop the cooperation between the Embassy of Germany and higher education institutions from this country with the University of Banja Luka.
At this meeting, the status of DAAD lecturers at the University was also discussed.
The meeting, held in the Rector’s Office at the University of Banja Luka, was also attended by Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Prof. Biljana Babić, PhD, and Head of German Language and Literature Study Programme Assist. Prof. Anđelka Krstanović, PhD.
During the day, the German Ambassador also visited the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka, where she met with the German Language and Literature students.
