Students Starting Their Traineeships
University of Banja LukaGeneralAgreements on student traineeships with 21 students of the University of Banja Luka, who will do their traineeships in the City Administration of the City of Banja Luka, and in city institutions and companies, were signed on 7 September 2020.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, pointed out that the students who did their traineeship in the City Administration have excellent experiences, and thanked the City for its support in the implementation of numerous projects of importance to the academic community.
,,The strategic goal of our University is to increase the practical part of teaching in all study programmes, and in the future, student traineeships will be mandatory, not optional,“ Gajanin said.
Mayor Igor Radojičić says that in this way the good cooperation between the City and the University of Banja Luka continues, emphasizing that this is the third generation of students who will do their traineeships in city departments and institutions.
,,The City has offered traineeships, and final year students will be able to gain practical knowledge and experience in the next three months“, Radojičić said.
He added that the City and the University are cooperating in a number of other areas, stating that, at the moment, the project of building a kindergarten in the University City is ongoing.
Student of the Faculty of Economics Dragana Domuzin expressed her belief that the student traineeship in combination with the theoretical knowledge gained will be a good basis for further work engagement.
Aleksandar Milošević, a Faculty of Law student, said that the student traineeship is of great importance for students because, in addition to gaining experience, in this way they gain grounds for future employment.
The event was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD.
