The University of Banja Luka Licenses the Mediterranean Agriculture Study Programme

The University of Banja Luka will initiate the procedure of licensing the Mediterranean Agriculture Study Programme, it was decided at the meeting between the Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, Rector of the University of East Sarajevo Prof. Milan Kulić, PhD, and the Mayor of the City of Trebinje Mirko Ćurić.

As stated during the meeting held on 2 July 2020 at the Rectorate of the University of East Sarajevo, the Mediterranean Agriculture Study Programme will be located in Trebinje, but will operate under the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka.

Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached by public universities on the formation of this study programme.

,,We expect to enrol the first students in this study programme in the academic year 2021-2022’’, Rector said.

As agreed during the meeting, the City of Trebinje will provide appropriate facilities for the operation of this study programme, as well as for the accommodation of future students. It is certainly important to emphasize that the teaching in this study programme will be carried out by professors and teaching assistants from the faculties of agriculture of the two public Universities from the Republic of Srpska.

Mayor of Trebinje Mirko Ćurić gave full support to all activities related to the opening of the Mediterranean Agriculture Study Programme.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and International Cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka, Prof. Željko Vašk, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance of the University of East Sarajevo Assistant Professor Marko Gutalj, PhD, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of East Sarajevo, Prof. Tatjana Ždralić, PhD, Prof. Vesna Milić, PhD, from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of East Sarajevo, and the President of the Steering Board of the University of East Sarajevo Prof. Darko Đogo, PhD.
