Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy Celebrated 23 Years of Work
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn 13 December 2019, the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka organized a solemn academy and promotion of undergraduates and postgraduates dedicated to mark 23 years of successful work and development.
Hence, a total of 13 diplomas were awarded to the masters of civil engineering, architecture and geodesy, as well as 87 diplomas to undergraduate students who successfully completed their studies at this faculty.
Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, said that the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy was one of the youngest members of the University, but also one of the most active in regard to international cooperation and scientific research.
„The Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy gives special contributions to the internalization of the University through the Ceepus network and by applying the Erasmus+ program Capacity Building and is currently the only member of the University where all study programs have successfully implemented or are implementing the Erasmus+ project“, Rector Gajanin stressed.
The rector also said that the managements of the University and the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy are making a lot of efforts to finish the building for the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.
„I am personally convinced that our efforts will be fruitful. We have support to complete the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy building project from all RS institutions’’, the rector of the University of Banja Luka said.
Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy Prof. Brankica Milojevic, PhD, emphasized that the Faculty had a successful year and that it was working on developing the quality of the teaching process. She said that in this academic year more students were enrolled in all cycles of study.
„We strive to carry out teaching activities in cooperation with local communities and the corporate so as to have their interest recognized and advance the teaching process“, Milojevic said.
She said that the Faculty is celebrating its anniversary by organizing workshops, visiting lectures and student exhibitions.
The ceremony was also attended by Vice Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation Prof. Biljana Antunovic, PhD, Vice Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesic, PhD, and other guests.
