Visit from Greece to University of Banja Luka
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn July 4 2016, Prof. Milan Mataruga, Rector of the University, along with Dr Goran Latinovic, Vice-Dean for scientific research of the Faculty of Philosophy, hosted a delegation from Greece, made up of the Head of the Department of Balkan and Oriental Studies, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Greece and a representative of the Yannakis Academy.
The topics discussed concerned possibilities of cooperation with the Greek partners, in particular the issue of Greek students attending study programmes at the University, since many young people in this country expressed their wish to continue their schooling at the University of Banja Luka.
The guests were informed of the key features of studying process at the University, foreign students' quota determined by the Government of the Republic of Srpska annually, tutorial fees, boarding capacities, and all other pieces of information relevant for foreign students.
The Rector also added that students would be offered Serbian language courses at the Faculty of Philology so they could attend classes.
