Prof. Sonja Boskovic-Danojlic is a full professor and the Head of the Department of the Slavic and Oriental Languages at the Faculty of Literature and Language, the University of Poitiers, and a representative of that university in the Coimbra Group, the association of 39 European universities with long tradition and excellent international reputation.
Founded in 1431, the University of Poitiers is one of the oldest universities in Europe and the second oldest in France. Among the students of this university were Descartes, Rabelais, Foucault and others. For more information about the partner university in Poitiers see: www.univ-poitiers.fr
The University of Banja Luka and the University of Poitiers signed the Cooperation Agreement on 26 June 2012, and the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka and the Faculty of Literature and Language of the University of Poitiers signed the Addendum to Inter-university Agreement subsequently. On the basis of the aforementioned agreements, numerous activities of mutual cooperation are being realized.
Prof. Sonja Boskovic-Danojlic and Dr Dragana Lukajic, a professor at the Department of French Language and Literature of the University of Banja Luka, were welcomed by the Vice-rector for international relations, Prof. Valerija Saula, at the meeting in the Rectorate on 5 May 2014. Among other things, the possibilities of organizing joint Master degree in Philology were discussed.
